CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Aspire Digital Group is an innovation-driven company operating at the intersection of AI, fintech, e-commerce and digital media. Our core platforms; Zinga, Alby Marketplace and Goldroom are building a connected ecosystem to transform the way hospitality industries interact with technology.
We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer to oversee the development, integration and commercialisation of AI products and R&D strategies. This is a strategic leadership position that offers opportunities for growth within the Aspire Group for the right candidate committed to building long-term value.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive the strategic direction of AI and R&D Initiatives across all Aspire Digital platforms.
- Lead operational planning, budgeting, and execution across cross-functional teams.
- Oversee product development cycles from ideation to launch and performance optimisation.
- Manage partnerships with tech providers, research institutions, and government innovation agencies.
- Design and implement operational systems to scale digital products (AI tools, payment infrastructure, content platforms).
- Ensure compliance with international data governance, AI ethics, and regulatory frameworks.
- Mentor department heads in engineering, product, marketing and customer success.
- Collaborate with the Director, and other relevant departments to set innovation KPIs, operational efficiency targets, and monetisation strategies.
- Support go-to market planning for R&D driven features including agentic AI, automation tools, and digital transformation services.
- Monitor financial performance and resource allocation across projects and business units.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Proven experience of minimum five years in a senior executive, COO, CTO, of Head of Product role in tech or digital innovation.
- Deep understanding of AI technologies, agile product development and R&D management.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture, cloud computing, and data security principles.
- Strong leadership, organisational and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence while scaling new ventures.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks, IP protection, and grant/reporting requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-cultural team management.
- Postgraduate qualifications in technology, business or innovation highly regarded.
